THCH encourages all its residents to get involved in the running of their Housing Association. We believe that we can provide the best service by finding out your views on what we do and how we can improve our services we offer. To assist residents to get involved in this process THCH has created a resident participation structure. We have also employed a Resident Involvement Officer to help residents who wish to become involved. For more information on how you can get involved please contact this officer on 020 7780 3070.

Area Resident Boards (ARB)

THCH organises resident meetings in each of the areas where we have Community Housing Offices. The meetings are resident’s chance to influence and comment on the work of the office, its staff and contractors. In addition the meetings also hear from other local service providers such as the police and health authority. Meetings are advertised in Update and on posters which are put up in the entrances of THCH blocks. All residents are welcome to attend and allowances for childcare and travel may be payable to those wishing to attend.

Joint Area Resident Board (JARB)

The Joint Area Resident Board is held quarterly. It allows residents who attend the ARBs to come together and monitor the work of THCH as a whole. JARB members receive THCH Board papers and are able to question the work of the THCH Board. Elections for the JARB are held each year at the ARBs. JARB meetings are advertised in Update.

Leaseholder Steering Group (LSG)

The Leaseholder Steering Group meets quarterly and discusses all issues which affect our leaseholders including service charges. All leaseholders are welcome to attend and meetings are advertised in Update and on posters which are put up in the entrances in blocks prior to the meeting.

THCH Board

The Board meets each quarter and is the body which directs the work of THCH. The Board discusses all the work of THCH and makes strategic and financial decisions. 6 residents are able to be elected to the Board with one of these spaces reserved for a Leaseholder.

In addition residents are able to get involved through a Resident Association. Small grants are available to run the Resident Association, please contact the Community Development Team for details.

Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) residents are also able to get involved through the BME Focus Group. This allows us to find out your views on our services directly. If you want to get involved in the BME Focus Group please contact Shamim Hossain, BME Community Development Office on 020 7780 3070.
