Almost £1,500 was raised on Saturday, 26 November when we held our first WIPAM Football Tournament in aid of three charities: Wear it Pink Breast Cancer Research, Movember Prostate Cancer Research and Bowel Cancer Research at the Mile End Leisure Centre.

Teams from a number of Tower Hamlets based Housing Associations took part, including THCH, Swan HA, Poplar HARCA, Spitalfields HA and Old Ford HA.

The teams were entered into four mini leagues with the top two teams progressing to the quarter-finals.  The eventual winners were Eastside FC (pictured), a youth team supported by Old Ford HA who beat The A Team 3-0 in the final.

Many thanks to Sainsbury's in Whitechapel and Keywest Property Refurbishment and Maintenance for sponsoring the event and to everyone who donated their time and money for the nominated charities.
