Monthly grants available to community groups using our centres

Our social enterprise partner, Aspire, has been helping community groups using our centres by awarding a grant once a month of £100 towards activities, events or materials.

The scheme has so far helped the following groups:

July 2011 - Grant given to a project run by residents at the Minerva Estate to buy gardening tools
August 2011 - Grant helped fund extra Zumba lessons for women at the Minerva Community Centre
September 2011 - Grant given to the Cable St Pensioners Group funding a Christmas trip
October 2011 - Grant given to The Wise Youth Group, they work with vulnerable young people 
November 2011 - Grant given to the Winterton House Organic Gardening Club to help run the allotment
December 2011 - Grant given to The Rooted Forum with help them buy sports equipment
January 2012 - Grant was awarded to LinkAge Plus to buy equipment and games for older people 
February & March 2012 - Grant awarded for a second time to The Wise Youth Group to help them fund a trip celebrating the success of the T-shirt Printing Enterprise
April 2012 - Grant was given to Leopold Neighbourhood Group to renovate the Community Room (pictured
May 2012 - Grant will help fund the Jubilee Celebrations organised by the Bethnal Green residents

Are you part of a community group active in Tower Hamlets Community Housing estates? If so, then you could be eligible for the next Community Grant of up to £100.
