A celebration of the roots of popular music
City Showcase will be holding a competition for all artists to explore the roots of modern music and celebrate traditional and classical music from all cultures of Britian.
The event will take place at Mile End Park on 21 May.
They are looking for talented musicians of any age, solo, bands or orchestras; from steel bands to reggae to rock. From classical choirs to gospel choirs, from African to South American beats.
This unique event will introduce London's musical roots to a whole new audience and demonstrate the bredth of rich culture and heritage.
