Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Rabina Khan, paid a visit to our new housing scheme in Brady Street, Whitechapel on 15 April where she took control of a digger and officially make a start on the piling works that will result in a number of new homes for rent to applications on the Common Housing Register.

The development forms part of the Local Homes Initiative where THCH and Tower Hamlets Council have worked together to identify a number of sites across the borough which can be used to build much needed family housing.

The contract for this scheme, along with similar projects in Walter Street and Bancroft Road has been let to Durkans and the new homes should be completed and occupied early in the New Year.

For more information on the Local Homes initiative, please call Deborah Crow on 020 7780 3070.
