London Fire Brigade announce intention to strike
The London Fire Brigade has announced that industrial action will take place on:
- Saturday, 23 October from 10am to 6pm
- Monday, 1 November from 10am to 6pm
- Friday, 5 November from 10am to Sunday, 7th November at 9am
THCH would like to remind residents and users of our community facilities to be extra vigilant during this time. Especially the weekend strike of 5-7 November which takes place over the Bonfire Night and Divali weekend.
The Fire Brigade have issued some important safety advice, with should be observed at all times:
- Make sure you have a smoke alarm and check that it is working
- Make sure you know your escape route if there is a fire
- Stub out cigarettes properly
- Put out candles safely
- Double check the cooker is off
- Close doors to stop fires spreading
