Hundreds attend weight loss project open day
THCH's Tarling East Community Centre hosted an open day for the My Weigh Project on Monday, 11 June.
The project is a partnership between Tower Hamlets NHS, Social Action for Health and the Bromley by Bow Centre with the mission to:
- ensure long-term weight loss and behaviour change in adults in Tower Hamlets
- Provide an innovative and sustainable healthy eating and physical activity programme with equitable access and provision in Tower Hamlets
- Ensure the programme is underpinned and developed through rigorous monitoring and evaluation
Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman attended the event and heard how participants in the My Weigh Project benefitted from improved health, wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence.
