New company seeks THCH residents

Aspiring Community Works is an exciting new company designed to create jobs for THCH residents.

Based at the Minerva Community Centre in Bethnal Green, the company will be carrying out cleaning, gardening and grounds maintenance work on all of our estates.

The company will offer a range of benefits to residents and will re-invest profits into local community projects and groups.

Manager, Richard Lanning says "We want this to be a resident company run by residents for residents".

The company is currently recruiting the following positions:

• Part Time Agency Staff to work flexible hours (£7ph)
• Full Time Cleaning and Gardening Trainees (£6ph)
• Team Leader - must have full driving license (£17,000pa)

Launch and Recruitment Day

All residents are invited to attend the launch, on 29 January 2011 between noon and 2pm at the Minerva Community Centre in Bethnal Green.  You will be able to meet officials from Aspiring Community Works and apply for the above vacancies.

Start you own business

A free one-day course on 'Starting your own Business' will be held on 6 February 2011 between 10am and 4pm at the Minerva Community Centre in Bethnal Green.
