Would you like a career in the health and social care sector?

Praxis is running a 15 week accredited Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care and will be holding an Open Day on Tuesday,  6 April 2011.

The event is aimed at refugees wanting to develop a career in this field - no experience required.

The Open Day startes at 10:30am with a welcome by Yesenia San-Juan, Manager at Move On and finishes at noon with a question and answer session.  The Open Day takes place at the Praxis office in Pott Street, Bethnal Green, E2 0EF.

The event will discuss the principles of the 15 week course, which covers:

  • principles of communication
  • diversity, equality and inclusion
  • principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care
  • introduction to duty of care
  • person centred approaches
  • health and safety
  • how to handle information in social care settings
