As Bonfire night approaches the night sky is lit up with fireworks displays. With all the sparkle it’s easy to forget that fireworks can be dangerous if not used correctly and responsibly.
We step up patrols to keep our estates clear of items during this period, but there are also steps residents can take to help keep the community safe.
Remember:
- Fireworks and bonfires are not allowed on THCH land or balconies
- Make sure that your private balconies, communal areas and outside areas are free from any items that could catch light from fireworks or sparks
- Put rubbish in the bin /URS
- Bulk waste items increase fire risk. Call Streetline on 020 7364 5004 to have these items collected outside of bonfire season so they are not left outside awaiting collection.
Why not go along to the free fireworks display at Victoria Park on 4 November.
