Carbon monoxide detector fittings
Carbon monoxide is a silent killer, with around 50 deaths and hundreds of injuries recorded nationally every year. It’s a toxic gas that is odourless and colourless, meaning it’s almost impossible to identify without a proper detector.
That’s why it's really important to have a carbon monoxide alarm fitted in all rooms containing fuel burning appliances, ensuring that the alarm is able to be heard throughout your home.
Over the next six weeks, our gas service contractor, K&T, will be visiting homes that may require a new or replacement carbon monoxide detector. You will receive a text or call from them in advance to let you know that they will be visiting.
They will be wearing a K&T logo and their ID on their visit. The visit should take no longer than a few minutes but could potentially save the life of you and your neighbours.
If you’re not in on the day of their visit, they will leave a card asking you to phone to arrange a suitable time for them to return.
