Volunteers needed for a new series of fire safety videos

Tower Hamlets Housing Forum and the London Fire Brigade are involved in a collaborative project to produce some short fire safety videos to improve resident information and engagement around the subject. The intention is to have residents as the key participants in the videos based on their lived experience stories or concerns around fire safety.

If you are interested in participating, the closing date for expressions of interest is 31 March.

Please call Tracey St Hill on 020 7364 5258 or email tracey.sthill@towerhamlets.gov.uk to register interest or to find out more.

• The project is looking for up to 10 residents to share their concerns and lived experience in a series of mini videos around the themes: prevention detection & escape

• Those who express an interest will be invited to meeting at a community centre in the borough along with other interested residents in April to talk about their experience/concern

• This will used as the basis for selecting the best contributions for inclusion in the videos

• The mini videos will involve approx. 1 hr of their time being interviewed by a LFB member of staff

• The Fire Brigade will then contribute with advice and links to information on their website around the subjects discussed in the videos.

• Once the videos are complete, they will be publicised on various social media platforms to support improved fire safety information and advice London wide.

• There will also be an official launch for contributors to see the final version/s once agreed.
