The Role & who we are looking for

We are looking to recruit an financial accountant who will work closely with the finance team to deliver high quality financial services, ensuring delivery of our business objectives and upholding our commitment to customers.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing outsourced payroll, running the Purchase Ledger, balance sheet reconciliations and dealing with Tax, including VAT. The candidate will be CCAB qualified and have Treasury and cashflow management skills. In addition, the candidate will have experienced at using computerised financial systems, coding systems, financial modelling using spreadsheets & chart of accounts.

£50,000.00 per annum | Permanent | 37.5 hours

 

The role

You will effectively lead and manage a portfolio of construction projects and new build developments through all stages. You will ensure building projects are delivered to agreed budgets, quality standards and comply with all legislation and Fire Safety regulations.

The successful candidate will have

  • Excelllent knowledge and understanding of Project Management processes, with the ability to demonstrate experience of delivering construction related projects.
  • Good technical and building construction knowledge as well as good level of knowledge on standards, legislation, maintenance, and development of buildings
  • Good understanding of working in a housing environment and working with residents
  • Good understanding of planning and Building Control
  • Experience of managing contractors and consultants delivering building works at project level including H&S, quality, value, and progress with excellent organisational skills
  • Good knowledge and proven experience in the procurement and tendering of consultant and building contracts
  • Good working knowledge of building contracts such as JCT
  • Good knowledge and experience of monitoring and reporting on project budgets, including managing dashboards and developing cash flow forecasts
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders including contractors, resident groups, consultants, and internal departments at all levels
  • Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation relating to repairs and maintenance
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, housing, and property management systems

The Role & who we are looking for

The role will report into the Director of Resources, both will work closely to deliver our financial strategy, financial management and reporting ensuring value for money is achieved. This will be key to how we deliver services for our residents and how we provide assurance to our other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified and will have worked day to day within a high performing finance function. You will have treasury management skills and will also have operated at Controller or Head of within a housing association. You will be able to proficiently use and develop financial systems and processes.

The Head of Finance is a key figure in THCH and will be responsible for the effective leadership and performance of the finance function and the timely production of high-quality financial information.

The Role & who we are looking for

You will manage and deliver the in-house cleaning services for our estates and community centres to excellent standards. You will supervise and manage a remote working team to deliver excellent customer service as well as ensure the smooth running of day to day cleaning activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering a cleaning service, scheduling and overseeing a remote working team. You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations & procedures. The successful candidate will have great attention to detail, communication skills and the drive to deliver excellent customer service. The postholder will be able to use Microsoft office and other databases.  You need to be able to travel efficiently across the THCH stock and attend evening meetings when required. Experience in managing contractors, delivering estate services or facilities management would be advantageous. You will possess a driving licence, a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including C in Maths and English, City & Guilds Cleaning and Support Services Skills Level 3 or equivalent and/or BICSc qualifications.

Specialist Income Recovery Advisor

£34,505.00 per annum | Permanent | 37.5 hours

We’re looking for a Specialist Income Recovery Advisor to join our Customer Accounts team.

You’ll make a genuine difference by helping people to stay in their homes. Every day is different – but it’s all about problem solving and doing what’s right by our residents.

As a specialist, you’ll have experience in managing accounts, arrears recovery and maximising income. You’ll have a good understanding of finances and welfare support.

You’ll be able to manage multiple workloads and understand the differences between rent, service charges, major works and rechargeable repairs.

You’ll understand the importance of early intervention to prevent the worst from happening. However, as a last resort, you’ll handle more challenging situations like attending County Court and presenting at possession hearings. 

By working closely with your team and our Neighbourhoods and Finances teams, you’ll successfully reduce arrears and help our residents.

To succeed in this role, you’ll:

  • Understand data, analytics and income recovery
  • Have excellent communication skills
