Latest update

We’re working towards making Luke House a safer building. Currently, Luke House has a B2 EWS rating. This means works are needed to improve fire safety and to achieve a B1 rating (find more information on this here). Until the remediation project takes place, we’re working on other safety measures to help keep you safe.

On 26 March, wayfinding signage will be put up. These signs show floor numbers for the fire brigade, so they can find their way around the building in case of an emergency.

Our contractors, Ventro, will be carrying out fire door inspections (both communal and household) from April 2024. Ventro will need you to be home so they can inspect both sides of your front door – they will contact residents to schedule appointments for this. Fire doors play a lifesaving role in the event of a fire, find out more information here

General inspections are taking place to ensure the safety of the building, including structural inspections to check building strength.

On 18 April, we’re holding our Family Fire Safety Event for Luke House, where you can come and talk to us about safety in your home and neighbourhood. Find more information about the event on our e-noticeboard.
