Cladding Remediation Announcement
On 10 January, the Government indicated that it would be scrapping the proposed loan scheme for cladding remediation for leaseholders in buildings under 18m, and will instead ask developers to fund the work. We don’t yet know if this will include all fire safety measures, or what the timescales are for the work to be undertaken but we expect clarity on how the scheme will operate by March 2022.
