Working in partnership to improve wellbeing
As part of our commitment to build connected communities, we’ve partnered with local arts collective, Trapped in Zone One, to help improve the wellbeing of girls aged 10-18 living in Tower Hamlets.
Our £500 Community Development grant will deliver a ten-week pilot programme of free creative activities for young girls. Bablu Miah, Founder of Trapped in Zone One said he was “delighted to be working with THCH to engage young residents.”
Not only do the arts help to improve individual wellbeing, but the creative industry also brings joy, strengths communities and builds bridges between cultures.
Andy Coleborn, our Community Development Manager said: “Trapped in Zone One has been delivering some fantastic youth activities for young people in Tower Hamlets over the last 18 months. We’re delighted to be able to host and support this new girl’s project from one of our centres. We hope following a successful pilot, the project goes from strength-to-strength”
The creative sessions will start on Monday 16 May, from 5 – 7pm, at our St Peter’s North Community Centre in Bethnal Green.
